Sri Lanka’s largest producer of renewable energy Windforce Ltd has recently  signed a deal with Fairway Waste Management (Pvt) Ltd to buy 92.5% of the  company stake. The price of deal is as yet undisclosed.

The waste-to-power plant said to be valued at $67 million according to the  Fairway group could incinerate 500 metric tonnes of waste a day while running  a 10 MW power plant.

The waste-to-power plant will be yet another acquisition that expands the  Windforce portfolio which consists of a large number of hydro, wind and solar  power plants all across the globe.
