The Cabinet has approved the operation of digital banking, blockchain technology and other services involving cryptocurrency mining in Sri Lanka. The move will facilitate a digital business system. 

The pertinent cabinet paper has been submitted by the Minister of National Development Coordination and Monitoring Namal Rajapaksa.
