The Colombo International Finance Center, scheduled to break ground on the 7th anniversary (September 17th) of the Port City inception, has been postponed.
Construction will postpone due to the ongoing pandemic situation in the country. Investors and officials are hopeful that construction will start in December 2021, as 50% of the population is vaccinated.
Other constructions, including the duty-free mall, hotel, yacht marina, and apartment complex, are to begin construction in 2022.
