High Net-worth Individual Investor Imtiaz Burhadeen recently became the second-largest shareholder of Shaw Wallace Investments Ltd. by increasing his take to 10%. 

The investor reached this milestone following the acquisition of 3.295 million shares for an average LKR 12.49 per share for LKR 41 million from KZOO. 

KZOO, formerly Renuka Holdings PLC, is an investment trust which manages listed equity, debt investments, private equity & alternative asset classes. It holds shares in John Keells Holdings, HMB, Melstacorp, Ceylon Hospitals, and Watawala Plantations. Yesterday, KZOO shares closed at LKR 13.10, an increase of 50 cents (4%). 

Mr. Burhadeen’s 10.18% share in Shaw Wallace is divided among Almos Organization Ltd with 16.69 million shares, while Carlines Holdings Ltd holds a further 1 million shares.
