According to the Minister of Energy, Udaya Gammanpila, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has secured a steady crude oil stream for the next 180 days.
According to the information released, the crude oil will arrive in six consignments, one for each month of credit for the next 30 days.
The Minister stated that the shipment would arrive on the island by January 23rd/24th, and there would be no need to shut down the Sapugaskanda refinery.
