On Monday (3rd January 2022), global tech giant Apple became the first US Company to reach the $3 trillion market capitalization threshold.
This landmark achievement comes 16 months after Apple became the first to reach the $2 trillion market capitalization threshold. Apple also became the first US Company to reach the $1 trillion market cap in August 2018.
In Monday’s trading session, the Apple share price rose by 3% to reach $182.88, 2 cents above the needed cross valuation threshold. At the peak of trading, Apple generated a $90 billion market cap since Friday. The one-day gain of the company was more significant than the gains of the bottom 400 stocks in the S&P 500.
