$6.1 Million Acquisition For ExpoLanka

Marking the 3rd acquisition in the last 6 months Sri Lanka’s most valuable listed company ExpoLanka Holdings Ltd continues its strategic acquisition spree with a $6.1 million investment. 

The latest acquisition saw EFL Global Logistics, a fully owned subsidiary of ExpoLanka acquire 100% equity in Complete Transport System LLC, a container freight and trucking company based in the United States. The acquisition was made on the 8th of September, 2021 for the price tag of $6.1 million. 

The acquisition will allow EFL to expand its operations by providing value-added logistics services to its customers. ExpoLanka’s current operations span 60 cities in 29 countries making it a truly Sri Lankan global logistics industry. 

The company share had an exemplary performance in the Colombo Stock Exchange yesterday (9th September, 2021) will the share price increasing by LKR 4 to close the day a LKR 175. 10.4 million Shares traded hands in 4050 trades. The price tag of these trades was around LKR 1.8 billion. The trades also resulted in a market capitalization of LKR 342.1 billion, accounting for 8.56% of the CSE’s total.
